Mechanical Design Engineer

Your mission
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a vital role in delivering tailored engineering solutions for our existing product portfolio. Your focus will be on creating bespoke designs that meet unique customer requirements, applying solid engineering principles and innovative thinking to achieve practical, high-quality results.
You’ll work independently and in small, collaborative teams to produce accurate designs that adhere to our company standards, while introducing improvements and fresh ideas where possible. Beyond design, you’ll contribute to assembly and testing activities when required, ensuring your solutions perform flawlessly.
Clear communication is key—you’ll engage with stakeholders, document technical details, and produce reports and operating manuals that support successful implementation. Occasionally, you may travel globally to assist with projects and strengthen customer relationships.

You will:
- Engineer practical solutions to customer requirements.
- Create equipment GA drawings complete with BOMs.
- Produce detailed component drawings and manufacturing documentation.
- Provide technical support to customers and internal teams.
- Write clear operating instructions for bespoke products.
- Collect test data and produce technical reports when required.
- Participate in assembly and testing activities to ensure product quality.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and occasionally travel globally.
To succeed, you will need
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or minimum HNC in Engineering.
- 2-3 years’ experience in a mechanical/engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks preferred) and proficiency in design software.
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering for manufacture and cradle-to-grave product design.
- Excellent numerical, literacy, and IT skills (Microsoft Office).
- Ability to work independently and in small teams, with a proactive and innovative mindset.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
