Customer Design Engineer

Your role

1.Contribute to the company’s mission of product leadership by ensuring high reliability of the custom designed products with a First Time Right approach 

2.Take ownership of each Custom Design order and lead it from request of Customer Center, till delivery of the product. You coordinate tasks to respect to the set planning. 

3.You work closely with Sourcing, Planning, Production, Quality, and Aftermarket in order to ensure the whole process smoothly 

4.Be responsible for the design on quality, delivery, SHE, energy saving and cost. 

5.Get closely involved with assembly and testing by quick reaction on possible emergency. 

6.Periodic analysis and review on cost and warranty for sustainable innovation and development 

7.Work according to a lesson learned approach and believe there is always a better way. 

To succeed, you will need

Experience requirements

1.Minimum 2 years product design experience in OIS compressors

2.Experience in coordinating corresponding team members in projects

3.Understand input and impact other areas (supplier, assembly, customer, …)

4.Experience in sharing know-how

5.Shown ability to translate customer requirements into technical requirements and deliver products on time in full

6.Familiar with DFMEA, safety review and related legal requirements.

Knowledge/Educational requirements

1. University degree or similar through experience, major in mechanical engineering or related area.

2. Good command of English and Mandarin (both oral and written)

3. Proficient in BPCS, Inventor, Vault, Excel

4. Excellent knowledge of compressor principle and test method5. Good knowledge of cost optimization
