Business Controller

Your role
As a Business Controller, you'll be at the heart of our financial operations, steering the organization's accounting functions and empowering strategic financial decisions through precise and timely reporting. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll contribute significantly to our overall success.

Your day-to-day
- Oversee accounts payable, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain planning and budgeting systems.
- Prepare financial and management reports and present findings to senior management.
- Analyze and interpret financial trends requiring management's attention.
Your skills and experience
- BS in finance, accounting, or Business. MBA desired. CPA preferred
- 15 years of experience in the Finance/accounting or Business control of industrial related equipment manufacturer. Knowledge of GAAP, IFRS is important
- Ability to analyse financial results, identify potential opportunities and develop action plan with management to be addressed by each division
- Ability to work under time constraint to meet corporate financial reporting deadlines
- Effective communication skills and attention to details
- Good understanding of contracts terms and conditions and associated financial risk
- Good command of Business English, Native level of Japanese language is a must
- Information system knowledge including Microsoft tools
- Overall understanding of our equipment function & customers/markets

Your location
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our Yokohama office in Yokohama (Shin-yokohama) , Japan
