Job Description

Job TItle: Manager_Technical Support

Business Unit: Compressor Technique (CT)

Division: Compressor Service & Optimization (CSO)

Report to: Business Line Manager_CSO

Location: Yongin, Korea

[Purpose of this Job]

Responsible for the management of technical matters:

  • provide technical support,
  • warranty administration
  • technical training within the company, to the customers and distributors.

 

[Duties&Responsibility]

Technical Support:

  • Assist technicians in solving difficult or complex problems in the field.
  • Assess service quality level performed by technicians
  • Maintain and upkeep an efficient library on products, technical information, spare parts manual, ECB updates and other related technical documents.  Ensure smooth information flow to all concerned.
  • Improve distributors’ technical personnel on service capability and professionalism
  • Provide technical support to Equipment Sales & CT Service sales personnel.
  • Responsible for the establishment and implementation of all quality procedures related to technical support.
  • Maintain relevant records and report on regular intervals any technical problems with high incidence rates.
  • Carry out periodic technical assessment of sub-contractors / suppliers for outsourced  technical support.
  • Co-ordinate with person(s) responsible to reinforce strength and improve weaknesses in the workflow chain.

Warranty Administration:

  • Responsible for warranty assessment / evaluation and approval of warranty
  • Coordinate and assist with all warranty issues with the customers and Product Companies as needed.
  • Ensure all warranty jobs are closed out timely and with reports and claims to the factory. 

Technical Training:

  • Determine technical training requirements of AC technicians, Distributors’ technicians and customers. Develop training programs to improve competence level the team.
  • Implement procedures to ensure that training activities are performed in an organized and structured manner.
  • Document and maintain a Technical Library of all training materials.

Qualifications

[Experience/Education]

  • Minimum 8-year experience of technical knowledge in Attlas Copco CT products or work experience in a related industry. 
  • BS Engineering (Mechanical, Electric-Mechanical discipline) or equivalent work experience. 

 

[Knowledge/Skill]

  • A working knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Computer literate
  • Electric-Mechanical troubleshooting skill
  • An understanding of computers and associated systems (Lotus Notes, Excel, Word, etc), business systems, distribution channels and accounting practices.
  • Proven managerial skills
  • Good planning and organizational skills
