UK Rental Sales Engineer. Central Region

Your role
Your mission as Rental Sales Engineer will be to take the Specialty Rental business in your sales territory to the next level of profitable growth – with focus on Industrial applications, specifically oil-free and/or high-pressure air, and Nitrogen.
You will improve the profitable growth within Atlas Copco Rental UK, with a specific focus on temporary rental solutions in the selected industrial market segments in the UK Central region. Action and implementation of the set company business plans and KPI’s to increase market share, organic growth and customer development. Effective customer management and follow up, using the group Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and IT tools. You will report to the UK Rental Sales & Business Development Manager.
Key responsibilities:
- Effectively manage and grow the business areas, through structured territorial sales.
- To identify, seek and secure new opportunities, applications and customers for our rental fleet.
- To benchmark our market position including competitors and nominate new profitable areas / segments in the marketplace for entry.
- Prepare and submit using ASR market tools competitive customer tenders and quotations, maintain effective follow up of orders received, and lost.
- Ensure all enquiries and orders received are managed promptly, and in an efficient manner.
- Maintain regular customer visits to establish requirements and ensure a high standard of customer service is always delivered.
- Maximise rental fleet revenues through effective price management and asset utilisation.
- Prepare data and participate in sales meetings and events.
- To work alongside and collaborate with other Atlas Copco business colleagues to effectively promote Atlas Copco products and services.
To succeed, you will need
- Previous experience in Sales & Marketing environment, with the ability to cooperate with others.
- Previous experience in sales/rental sales of air, nitrogen and/or steam desirable.
- Communication: the ability to express ideas, send, receive and exchange information clearly.
- Understand and demonstrate an awareness of the link between their role and the business goals.
- Able to positively persuade, convince and impress others in order to achieve results.
- Able to maintain organisation, ethical and social values in all business activities.
General sales skills and marketing knowledge.
Good IT skills and competences. Experienced user of the Office 365 suite, able to work and use CRM’s software.
