Your Role

• R&D lab operation: responsible for safe and efficient operation of R&D lab

• • Safety: Ensure that all areas under direct control, are conducted and work in a safe and effective manner in compliance with the Company's Health and Safety policy as well as all applicable regional laws and regulations related to labor, safety and environment.
  • Competence: Continuously develop and expand competence of R&D lab to support all the product verification activities.
  • Legislation: comply regional, national and Atlas Copco Group legislations and management procedures.
  • Efficiency: effectively support all Engineering test requests from product development team. Plot daily operations and long-term roadmaps to support business growth.
  • Resource: ensure existing resource are in maximum utilization. Manage and maintain all tangible and intangible assets and ensure no unexpected losses/leakages following the procedure of financial and IP.

• Teamwork: Develop positive relationships to promote collaboration among multifunctional teams to rapidly identify, assesses and develop viable class leading products which deliver profitable growth. Support and guide the other departments in their technical needs. Actively support the other teams whenever this cooperation is effective or sustainable way to reach the company objectives. Ensure reliable Engineering output within the business territories.

To succeed, you will need  

Education

• Degree in an Engineering or Science discipline, MSc or equivalent/above is preferable.

Experience, competence and knowledge

• Multiple years experience with R&D lab operation and management. Experience on rotating machinery is preferable.
• In depth interpretion on R&D test methodologies and up-to-date Global&National standards.
• In-depth understanding on new product development programmes, supply chain, operations, manufacturing processes and aftermarket support activities.
• Ability to manage projects and activities. Analytical mindset and a good communicator in an international environment. Teamplayer.

Language

• Fluency in English

Others

• Sufficient business/commercial awareness to make appropriate proposals to balance potentially conflicting commercial and technical drivers.
• Influencing, communication, presentation and negotiating skills, both internally and externally. Be able to achieve credibility and respect. Awareness of multifunctional boundaries is a key element of this role.
• Experience with cooperating in a decentralised organisation working with different processes and development ways.
