Product Design Engineer

Your role

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, your mission is to Fast track projects, CAD, solid modelling, engineering changes, quality and technical support & new product development.

Your mission is to support and act as an active team member of the cross departmental teams for product development. You should have very high affinity towards the engineering product design and development... You will report to Engineering Manager.

Some things you will do in this role include:

• Be part of Engineering Team, which has the ambition to be excellent in designing and manufacturing of Compressed air treatment solutions and gas generators
• Maintain master product data of standard and new products in ERP
• Create bill of material, detailed instructions for manufacturing process of new part, specification for packaging, external supplier specification to provide standard cost structure and instructions for manufacturing
• Prepare preliminary concept sketches, feasibility studies, schedule and establish preliminary design, evaluate prototype models and research materials review.
• Initial evaluation of competitive products.
• Schedule development plan and track progress throughout development.
• Maintain a technical construction file on a product’s development including all design data and test results.
• Monitor program cost activity to achieve an “in budget” result.

You have a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Degree/Certificate. You will also have 2-4 years working within the mechanical engineering space.

You will also have:

o    Drafting/modelling experience

o    Proficient in AutoCAD, Inventor, and MS Office preferred.

o    Knowledge of GD&T and common machining techniques

o    Project management skills and ability to work independently

o    Ability to interface with internal and external customers.
