Business Line Manager, VTS

Your role
Main Responsibilities
- Own the business line for service and shapen the organization so that it can fulfil the great market potential.
- Attract and grow the right talents into the organization- enabling for ownership and accountability.
- Closely connect with the Divisional team to get best support for tools, channels and products.
- Ensure you make the strategy fit to your local needs and your local service strategy.
- Ensure you develop a good strategy for how you want to grow your direct business and your indirect business.
- Establish good relationship to distributor, agents and dealers and make sure they understand expectations and KPIs.
- Develop your sales team in close cooperation with your Sales Managers- how to value sell service products.
- Ensure your leadership team is closely connected and engaged to all relevant stakeholders inside and outside of the CC.
- Have a clear focus on Competence Development and how to reduce time2competence- that means close collaboration with local HR, L&C and the VTS academy team.
- Promote and enable the Multibranded Field Service Organization- keep a close alignment and exchange with the BLM of Leybold and drive positive change.
- Ensure you hire for attitude the right people into the team and give them opportunity to grow and develop themselves in an open and inclusive environment. We encourage for initiatives and ideas.
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies in alignment with Global Marketing team that promote all products under the Edwards brand to build and reinforce target market share and profitability.
- Preparation and achievement of business line sales budget in the region
- Prioritize customers and market sectors for sales focus in agreement with the business line globally and the customer center’s general manager.
- Handle major sales and negotiations for the business line in the region including all field service support upon customers’ requirements.
- Focus on developing all relevant sales channels, direct and indirect, always considering the mix of products best suited for the local market with a strong focus on overall market share, profitability, and cost efficiency targets of the business line.
- n Work closely together with other Business Line Managers (Scientific Vacuum & Industrial Vacuum) to ensure that each Business Area has a homogeneous approach to the market with an aim to achieve our ambitious targets.
- Monitor the development of a defined set of KPIs and scorecards, resulting in corrective/preventive actions (i.e., profitability, growth, forecasting, channel development plan, etc.)
- Stay up to date on market intelligence (incl. price levels). Price every product in line with the marketing plan and market potential against current market levels with the objective to give all products the best chance in the market.
- Prepare and present in business line review meetings, participate, and provide updates at regular meetings with relevant regional salesforce team as well as division and business area management as required.
- Provide focus, guidance and support to regional managers and their sales team to motivate them in the development, growth, and implementation of agreed strategies for the division.
- Ensure optimum behavior and performance of the business line with the country/region acting as first point of escalation of business resolution issues.
- Grow and develop talent within the business line.

To succeed, you will need
Skills / Knowledge / Experience
- At least 5+ years of strategical and conceptual capabilities to lead and develop a regional business and proven track record of delivering results in sales and marketing and sound commercial awareness
- University degree in Engineering or similar technical discipline / or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of vacuum technology is highly desirable
- Excellent computer skills are required (MS Office, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)
- Communication skills in Chinese and English
- Result-driven, radiant personality who has strong leadership skills with the capability to give enthusiasm to the organization and can communicate with impact
- Strong customer-oriented attitude
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team
