Procurement Manager (Direct)

Your role
As a Procurement Manager (Direct), your mission is to [Oversee the sourcing, purchasing, and supply chain management of core production materials (raw materials, components, key parts, etc.) for the manufacturing plant. Focus on cost optimization, supply stability, quality compliance, and on-time delivery, align with the company’s production strategy and business objectives, build and maintain a high-performance supplier ecosystem, and ensure the smooth operation of production lines while reducing procurement costs and improving procurement efficiency.]. You will
1. Develop and optimize daily direct procurement work processes, standardize procurement operations (sourcing, quotation, negotiation, order placement, delivery follow-up, payment settlement, etc.), and ensure procurement work is carried out in an orderly, standardized, and efficient manner.
2. Direct Procurement Strategy & Execution
- Formulate direct procurement strategies (including supplier layout, material pricing, inventory control, and risk prevention) based on the company’s production plans, sales forecasts, and cost targets, and drive implementation to achieve procurement KPIs (cost reduction, on-time delivery rate, quality pass rate, etc.).
- Lead the team in core production material sourcing, conduct market research, screen potential suppliers, organize supplier evaluations (covering quality, price, delivery, service, compliance, etc.), and establish a qualified supplier database.
- Lead negotiations with key suppliers on pricing, payment terms, delivery cycles, quality assurance, after-sales service, and cooperation terms; sign and manage procurement contracts, maintain long-term and stable cooperative relationships with core suppliers, and promote supplier performance improvement.
3. Material Supply & Quality Control
- Collaborate with Production, Warehouse, and Quality Departments to track the supply progress of direct procurement materials, monitor delivery schedules in real time, and handle abnormalities (delays, shortages, quality issues, etc.) promptly to ensure materials meet production needs and are delivered on time.
- Participate in direct procurement material quality control, work with the Quality Department to develop material quality standards, supervise suppliers in implementing quality requirements, handle material quality complaints and unqualified products, promote supplier rectification and improvement, and ensure material quality meets production and product standards.
- Optimize inventory management of direct procurement materials, reasonably control safety stock, reduce inventory backlogs and capital occupation, and achieve a balance between supply stability and inventory efficiency.
4. Cost Control & Risk Management
- Lead cost analysis of direct procurement materials, track market price fluctuations, carry out cost reduction activities (e.g., bidding, price negotiation, process optimization, alternative material development), and complete the company’s assigned cost reduction targets.
- Establish and improve the direct procurement risk management system, identify potential risks (supply risk, price risk, quality risk, compliance risk, etc.), develop risk prevention and response plans, and minimize the impact of risks on the company’s production and operations.
- Strictly abide by the company’s procurement policies and relevant laws and regulations, standardize procurement behaviors, prevent procurement risks such as corruption and irregular operations, and ensure transparency and compliance in direct procurement work.

- Bachelor’s degree or above in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, or related majors.
- At least 5-8 years of direct procurement experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in direct procurement processes and supplier management; strong market research, negotiation, and cost control capabilities; familiar with procurement laws, regulations, and industry standards; able to handle procurement abnormalities and risks independently.
- Fluent in written and spoken English; proficient in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and procurement management systems is preferred.
- Cross-departmental collaboration capabilities; rigorous work attitude, strong sense of responsibility, and good communication and problem-solving skills.
