Your Role

Major responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Develop the quality system for the mechanical plating plant - this will include control plans, FMEA, works instructions etc, to ensure full compliance with IATF 16949
• Manage the project for internal approval of the mechanical plating plant
• Manage the project for all customer approvals of the mechanical plating plant, including PPAP's
• Ensure that all customer specific requirements for approval and production are understood and implemented - including CQI-11
• Develop an accurate method of plating thickness measurement
• Develop the mechanical plating process to optimize product and process capability
• Manage the internal and external approval of the second heat treatment line
• Ensure that the second heat treatment line is fully compliant with ISO/TS 16949 and CQI-9
• Ensure ongoing compliance of both heat treatment lines to ISO/TS16949 and CQI-9
• Carry out product capability studies to understand heat treatment process capability and develop action plans to improve as required
• Manage the resolution of all internal concerns relating to heat treatment and plating

 
To succeed, you will need  

Education

College or university majored in science or technology, with bachelor’s degree

Experience

• The successful candidate should have a minimum of 8 years as quality engineer. Experience of fastener is preferred
• Experience of measuring & Lab is preferred.
• Understanding of IATF16949 & PPAP is preferred.
• Experience of working within an international matrix-organization and adapt easily to different cultures

Skills

• Problem skill solving
• Being familiar with inspection standards, experiences on international standard is preferred
• Read and understand engineering drawings and diagrams
• Good documentation management competence
• Good communication skills
• Good people management and coordination capability
• Proven English skills in reading and writing
