R&D Engineer, System

Your role
As a R&D Engineer, System, your mission is to [To take full responsibility for the completion of the assigned projects, including R&D, CIP, Customized, PC project and JDP etc.]. You will report to [IC Manager].
You will
Broad Activities:
1. Communication with Applications Team, Technical Support and Site Team, Product Manager, Local product specialists and Global resources (HC, PC and other ICs) regarding new requirements and technical issues related to IC projects.
2. Take full responsibility for the completion of the assigned projects and support other IC projects, including CIP, IC orginal, PC project and customer JDP with qualify ensured.
3. To provide engineering support for project specific products, eg DP, Abatement, STP, CTIP, customized facilities and equipments
4. IC Contact window for technical issues for assigned key customers, OEM and site teams, ensuring projects are communicated appropriately through the whole lifetime, from project kick-off to completion in lab and onsite evaluation.
5. Control project quality through project design improvements, project quality improvement, cost reduction, enhanced functionality & reliability and provide support to target of assigned project.
6. Support IC on the compliance of ISO 9001/14001/45001 and CNAS as needed through daily job or assigned task
For IC project specific product (for example DP, Abatement, STP, CTIP, customized facilities and equipments):
• Specification of sub-assemblies
• Electro-mechanical system integration
• Cost reduction and function improvement activities on existing common assemblies
• Define Test Plan (Design of Experiment needed)
• Risk Assessment of project
• Control cost of project
• Procurement of project related materials, tools and components
• Testing of equipment and subsystems
• Reliability testing
• Report Writing
• Project Result Uncertainty assessment as needed
• Preparation of technical construction documents
• Creation of Bill of Materials
• Development of test specifications
• Components selection and integration
• Field Evaluation Support

Skills and Knowledge
Strong problem solving ability through the whole project
Project mangement ability is needed
Ability to plan and estimate duration of their work in the context of larger projects
Understand key project deliverable and requirements and cowork with leader & team to realize it
Experience of working on a system or equipment design / development environment preferred
Ability to perform engineering calculations and basic FEA in support of the design.
Understanding of piping and instrumentation diagrams and system schematics
Experience of FMEA, HAZOP, DFMEA and other design and risk analysis techniques
Experience in the type testing of equipment in support of design.
Value engineering
Hands on ability to build test-rigs and develop testing plans
Semi S2 Standard Knowledge is preferred
Vacuum knowledge is needed
Knowedge of Edwards Product is preferred
Knowledge of appropriate EN/UL standards, Machinery Directive & Low voltage directive.
CAD - Catia for 3D modelling and an element of design drafting would be very useful
AutoCAD Electrical experience preferable
