Your role

As a Senior Technical Manager, your mission is to [Manages the technical solution team and is responsible for ensuring any technical issues requiring Technical solution and resolution are addressed within minimum impact to customers and the overall business. He/she will also be required to cultivate China technique force (Tech solution team and Field Tech teams) which covering holistic vacuum system (DP, STP, CTI, Fore-line, Gauge, etc) and abatements (including CSK & other major brand competitors), also other Edwards & CSK brand products portfolios.]. You will report to [Business Line Manager, VSS].

You will

  • Will manage a team of technical solution which in turn will provide customized technical solution to customers in a manner which will maximize customer KPI performance and give customer satisfaction of the highest level.
  • Identify the support requirements to ensure that the conditions of above are met, and that Edwards’s policies for quality, reporting, environment, and health and safety are fully complied with.
  • Takes direct control and ownership of all technical troubleshooting at key customers.
  • Will act as the primary interface between Edwards China and Manufacturing and systemization groups in Korea, Czech Republic and the US.
  • Responsible for developing and owning detailed action plans and ensuring that all corrective actions are fully implemented, measured and reported.
  • Identify and resolve resource issues across projects, suggest changes in the organisation of work and identify and resolve potential issues and hotspots to ensure the smooth functioning of the projects.
  • Work together with BD team, Field Technique Team,  sales team when new business opportunity occurs and to introduce the innovate customized solution to the customers, prove to customers the advantage of upgrading the current products/system, simulating the cost saving from the new solution.
  • Deliver technical presentations and training to customers and to all levels internally ensuring that the Company is effectively represented. Including new CIP and high level segment service product in service ladder frame, such as risk management mode and upgrade.
  • To drive the partnerships between Edwards and the customers to secure a successful long term supply relationship, focusing on reliable and consistent performance of Edwards support.
  • Maintain coordination between product, local operations, territory and competitors in order to improve the customer services improvement process.
  • Work with Edwards local and global resources in assigned areas to ensure the effective operation of systems. Resource from PC, STC, Supply Chain, IC, CSC, division level.
  • Act as Edwards representative and the Company’s own work load areas of technical support relating to all Edwards products.
  • Ensure that the requirements of the RCE and the Company’s Health and Safety policies are adhered to. (Occasionally) implement to support the customer within defined scope upon line manager’s permission and use company systems
  • Ownership of leading local technical committee of China CC for critical process challenge solution development, supplier innovative technique communication & introduction, new tools NPI for operation efficiency enhancement for Edwards and customers.

  1. At least 10 years relevant experience in an engineering field, ideally within a related industry.
  2. Confident grasp of increasingly complex technical matters, indicated by speed accuracy and quality work.
  3. Able to manage a elite team of technical experts, prioritize and schedule activities.
  4. Excellent communication and team work capabilities across multiple functions and countries.
  5. Possesses PC skills to manage information and to prepare reports and presentations without secretarial support.
  6. Knowledge of semiconductor or industry process and equipment products, familiar with IE, science & technology. Prefer knowledge of semiconductor process, vacuum or abatements.
  7. Knowledge of the organizations and operating practices of both Edwards and its customers that enables the support of Edwards' equipment to be managed in a manner that conforms to the policies of both companies.
  8. Proven ability to correctly diagnose and successfully resolve increasingly complex problems, seeking advice only when clearly required.
