Job description
We are looking for a Gas and Process (GAP) Sales Manager for the Middle-East region, as the current holder of this position will take another position in the GAP division.
To further develop the business in this focus area, the Gas and Process Division of CT has an opportunity for a Sales Manager to promote actively, sell and market GAP Centrifugal Compressors and Turbo-Expanders.
This position will be located in Dubai or the surrounding area and will report to the General Manager of Atlas Copco Middle-East administratively and operationally to the Gas & Process Head of Sales EMEA.
Mission
- Follow up the market, further develop the business and ensure future growth
- Promote and sell Centrifugal Compressors and Expanders to customers in
traditional market segments like Oil & Gas, Chemical / Petrochemical, Energy / Power,
Renewables and Air Separation as well as market segments New Energy, Hydrogen and CCUS.
- Continuously strive to find new applications and customers for the existing GAP product range
and challenge the GAP organization for new developments if required by our customers
and markets
- Develop the countries Iraq, Pakistan and Egypt in close cooperation with the Head of Sales EMEA by utilizing local agents and the Atlas Copco customer centers
- Plan and organize all related sales functions, customer visits, reports and processes
- Develop and maintain relationship with customers and key accounts
- Develop Effective Sales Strategies and plans in line with the goals and targets
- Evaluate incoming inquiries and prepare budget quotes with support of the GAP Application
Engineering departments
- Manage and guide a local application engineer reporting to you
- Challenge the GAP organization:
Make sure that always the best GAP option is quoted to the customer from on the initial start
of a project
- Challenge the customer:
Explain and convince customer for different GAP solutions (best set-up), if this results in
value for the customer
- Technical and commercial negotiation for projects with the support of the product companies
- Control expenses while maximizing the sales efforts and efficiency
- Prepare material and present at business reviews
- Participate at trade shows as required
To succeed, you will need
Experience requirements
A proven sales track record in the Oil & Gas and Chemical / Petrochemical industry in the Middle-East region.
Good Understanding of Chemical/Petrochemical and Air Separation markets, and Gas Compressor applications.
Experience and knowledge of GAP products is an advantage.
Knowledge
The candidate should have a good command of English and preferably Arabic.
Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
Educational requirements
University Degree (BS) in Engineering or equivalent through experience
Knowledge of Excel, Power point, Outlook
Personality requirements
Must be result oriented, self-motivated, and proactive
Team Spirit and Good Communication skills
